Purpose: To identify high school seniors, continuing undergraduate college students, and trade school students who possess a strong desire for academic excellence, leadership positions in student organizations, and plan on attending college or trade school in the Fall 2026 semester as a full-time student.
Reward: Students will be selected from the pool of qualified applicants and will be awarded a $1500.00 scholarship for financial assistance during the 2026- 2027 academic year. The first $500 will be awarded in the fall of 2026. If the recipient has at least a 2.75 at the end of semester, then they will receive the additional $500 for the Spring of 2027. At the end of the Spring Semester of 2027 if the recipient has a 3.0 then they will receive an additional $500 for the summer or Fall 2027 semester.
Qualifications: Interested candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for this award:
1. Applicant must be a High School Senior, College Student, or Trade School student.
2. Applicant must have a 2.75 GPA. Applicant must also have a 2.75 GPA at the end of fall 2025 semester to receive the additional $500 for the spring 2026 semester.
3. Applicant must be an Arkansas Resident and U.S. Citizen of good reputation and character.
4. Applicant must be a hunter or like to fish
5. The applicant must submit an application form and a 500-word essay on his/her worthiness and/or need for the scholarship.
6. Applicant must provide all required attachments and submit to One More for Brent prior to the deadline. If submitted after the deadline or not all required documents have been submitted, then the application will not be processed. Attachments shall include
a. Beginning Freshman must submit a transcript of their high school grades to
date.
b. College Freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year applicants must submit
a transcript of their grades to date.
c. Applicant entering or continuing into a trade school must submit a certified
transcript of their high school to date or previous year official transcript of
their grades to date.
d. Beginning freshman must submit a copy of their official letter of accepting
them into the college/university.
e. Applicant, on a separate sheet of paper must provide a 500 word essay on
his/her worthiness and/or need for the scholarship.
f. 1 Letter of recommendation.
7. Applicant must submit online through onemoreforbent.com with all documents listed above in one pdf by April 24, 2025 at 11:59pm. Online Submissions will open Feb 24, 2026.
8. The winner will have to send a Fall semester schedule to us before the $500 will be awarded and then again in the Spring before receiving the $500 if they have the gpa requirements for Spring semester. To receive the extra $500 if you have the gpa requirements you will have to show either a summer class schedule or Fall class schedule to receive the scholarship money.
9. Winners will be notified by May 1 and will be announced at the One More For Brent Banquet.
Wade is from Searcy, Arkansas and graduated from Searcy High School. He will Be attending the University of Arkansas.
Anslee is from Vilonia, Arkansas and graduated from Vilonia High School. She will be going to Oklahoma State University.
Cole Spears is from Lonoke and is attending the Neosho County Community College.
Valerie is from Lonoke and enrolled in the UALR Nursing Program
Cody is from Damascus, Arkansas and graduated from South Side Bee Branch. He will be attending the University of Arkansas at Pulaski Tech.
Kindle is from Maumelle and graduated from Central Arkansas Christian and will be attending the University of Arkansas
Cael is from Lonoke, but graduated from Cabot High School. He will be attending Oklahoma State University.
Payton is from Cabot and graduated from Cabot High school. She will be attending John A. Logan College.
John Mason Is from Conway, Arkansas and graduated from Vilonia High School. He will be Attending Arkansas State University Jonesboro
Eli is from Sherwood Arkansas and graduated from Sylvan Hills High School. He will be going to lineman school at ASU Newport.
Shea is from Cabot and is going for her Masters at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff
William is from Jacksonville, Arkansas and graduated from Jacksonville High School. He will be going to lineman school at ASU Newport
Cole Spears is from Lonoke and is attending the Neosho County Community College.
Zachery Eaves is from Lonoke and is attending the University Of Arkansas In Fayetteville.
Klara graduated from Bryant High School and will be attending the University of Central Arkansas in the fall. She plan on becoming an Occupational Therapist.
